Ignore all the talkers in trading - those who know don't speak
I found myself wandering onto a popular thread on a popular Forex Forum today just out of curiousity, and then quickly remembered why I avoid forum threads in the first place.  This particular thread is focused on one currency pair and it receives a lot of attention from people that trade it.  A lot of attention is not always a good thing.  After all hasn't everyone heard how 95% fail at trading Forex.  So then isn't following the advice of the masses madness?  Yet that is exactly what I see happening.  I see traders in there just begging for someone, anyone to tell them when & where to place their next trade.

I can only imagine that anyone reading this particular forum thread would come away even more confused than they were when they arrived.  You can read recommendations to trade conflicting directions and both people making the call seem to speak with such that authority that how could anyone possibly doubt them.  Here is the thing....they could actually both be right!

For example, Trader A is a trend following trader and enters Short.  Price goes against him 50 pips and then moves down through his original entry point to gain 100 pips of profit.  Woohoo Trader A wins and is happy.  Trader B trades against the trend and enters Long at the same point as Trader A went Short.  Trader B watch price move 50 pips and then begin to come back down.  Trader B closes for 35 pips profit.  Woohoo Trader B wins and is happy!

They both won because they both had a plan and knew what they were doing.  Trader C is the one who enters the forum and sees the conflicting advice and doesn't know who to believe.  He may enter Short and then when Price moves against him 50 pips he closes for a loss.  Trader C had no idea why he entered the trade other than that Trader A maybe had a more convincing forum post.  Trader C loses and is sad and more confused than ever.

I think to be successful you need to ignore the chatter or your mind will never be clear enough to trade Forex profitably.  Come up with your own system or learn from a pro.  The good news is that I am developing plans to offer free training to those that are interested.

More details on that will be announced in a future blog post, so be sure to stay subscribed!

Remove Stress & Improve Your Trading
If you are stressed out whenever you place a trade it is a good sign that you are not trading with a solid plan in mind.  Stress is the result of over-worrying or over-thinking situations.  If you have a rock solid plan in mind you should not feel stressed when trading.  If the trade goes against you that is okay, because you know what to do.

Everyone has losing trades, but if you are managing your risk and sticking to your rules you can succeed.  Most people change the rules every time they trade, which of course leads to a lot of stress and often a lot of losses.  It also means you will never figure out what exactly you are doing wrong.  Only by sticking with a consistent approach can you evaluate the profitability potential.

Recognition is the first step.  Ask yourself how you feel when you are about to place your next trade.  Is your breathing constricted?  Do you have tension in your head, shoulders, hands, or anywhere else in your body.  Are you centered and focused or is your mind scattered and all over the place.  Sometimes you just need to wake up and be present in the moment.  That one sentence is the true secret to trading and life in general.

If you can't already tell from the last paragraph I place a lot of importance on the mental and emotional aspects of trading.  That is why I practice Tai Chi and Qigong daily.  To maintain my awareness of the present moment and to realize when I am tense so I am able to do something about it.

For those traders looking to have trades placed automatically on their accounts I am offering auto-execution signals through Zipsignals.  I researched all the signal providers and Zipsignals was clearly the best around for service and quality.  You can view my results or sign up by clicking here.  I've had a very nice start and my current clients have been enjoying some nice returns with very low risk.  I believe I have the best return vs. drawdown of any provider.

Happy trading,

Jeff

  Shorting EURJPY
I will be watching for another opportunity to Short EURJPY during the early U.S. trading session.  At the time I am writing this blog price is heading towards 124.00.  I will watch for resistance and possibly short at that level.  If I do not see enough resistance I will watch how price reacts around 124.15 or 124.57, which are my fib levels I am currently watching.  This should not be construed as trading advice, as you are solely responsible for your own trading decisions.  It is simply some input into what I am currently looking at.  Things can change quickly making a Short no longer a valid trade opportunity.

Happy trading.

Big Profits Today Shorting the Euro
Today was the perfect set up that I like to see for entering a trade.  Here are my perfect criteria.

1) The currency was obviously in a down trend on the time frames I monitor

2) There was clear resistance around my 50% fib level

3) Price retraced to the 50% fib level and then quickly reversed.

I took two Short positions on EURJPY.  The first one I entered before the 50% fib level was hit based on just watching Price move on the 15 minute chart.  I entered a second position when price ended up retracing to the 50% fib level, as I originally suspected it might.  It quickly began it's movement downward again after briefly hitting the 50% fib & price resistance level.

Use whatever indicators you want, but always try to include support/resistance and fib retracements.  Those two tools will help you more than anything else.  Well, that along with the patience to wait for the right set up to present itself.  I truly feel that impatience hurts most unsuccessful traders more than anything else.  Patience is a virtue whether you are on the regular highway or the Forex super highway.

There is good news all around. On a personal note I celebrated the birth of my first child on February 6 which put a small delay on the launch of my auto-execution signal service, as I have been dedicating any extra time to spending it with my son. The good news for everyone on my email list is that I am now once again moving forward with plans to launch my service, and I have come up with a new twist to make it even more appealing.

I am calling it “Pay for Performance”. The monthly charge for my service will be based completely on how well I performed that particular month. I feel that this approach will be far superior to paying a flat fee for everyone involved. Here’s the best part of all…you will not be asked to pay until AFTER a calendar month has completed. There will be absolutely no upfront charge. Details on how it works are below.

Pay by Performance Details

· After a calendar month ends the number of pips earned during that month will be multiplied by .25 mini lots or $.25 to determine the amount owed by each subscriber.

Example:

Month Pips Earned Rate Amount Owed

January 250 $.25 $62.50

February 60 $.25 $15.00

*If there is ever a month with negative pips earned (which can happen on occasion) there will be absolutely no charge!

How much can you earn?

How much you earn will depend upon the lot sizes you are trading. Using the example from above we will look at net earnings based on different lot sizes. Obviously anything over .25 minilots will produce a net profit for the client. I recommend trading a set % of your account balance so your lot sizes grow as your account balance grows.

CLIENT A

Month Pips Lot Size Amt Owed Profit

January 250 1 mini lot 62.50 $187.50

February 60 1 mini lot 15.00 $45.00

CLIENT B

Month Pips Lot Size Amt Owed Profit

January 250 3 mini lots 62.50 $687.50

February 60 3 mini lots 15.00 $165.00

CLIENT C

Month Pips Lot Size Amt Owed Profit

January 250 1 LOT 62.50 $2437.50

February 60 1 LOT 15.00 $585.00

· There will be no manipulation of pips and all positions will be closed with one TP. Pips can easily be manipulated by closing a trade with multiple take profits. This will never happen with my service, and if I ever close a position with multiple take profits it will be taken into account and the pips will be averaged as if the position was closed all at once.

· How will pips earned be determined? Trading results will be posted and verified in real time via a third party website. These results will be used for billing purposes, as all clients totals should be within a few pips of my results. The trading software has less than 1 second delay. The clients only responsibility is to keep their trading platform open during U.S. trading hours (or overnight if we have an open trade), and to choose how much of their account they wish to trade.

· Payment: After the completion of a calendar month I will send out a Paypal payment request to all current subscribers. The subscribers will have a 7 day window to complete the payment in order to remain an active client. All clients will be billed based upon the results achieved in the demo account. Please note that I am not responsible for hardware or software glitches on the client side or for the client not keeping the Metatrader trading platform open during market hours

Why am I starting my own service?

After researching many of the large Forex Signal Service providers I have found flaws with all of them. Many offer ways to manipulate pips or carry huge floating positions that are unrealistic for most traders’ accounts to handle. In other words the average trader will never achieve the same results as the provider. With my service results will be real and draw downs will be minimal since I trade using real money in my real account. Plus you pay nothing until after the month completes.

When will the service launch?

I am targeting a launch of April 1 for the service if all goes according to plan. I will send out a signup link to the members of my mailing list soon so stay tuned!

An even bigger discount!

The first 10 people that respond to this email stating their interest will receive my service for only $.10 per pip for one month! What a great way to try out the service with almost no risk at all. You can trade very small lot sizes just to see how the service works.
